F1K are a successful Go Karting company with centres across the UK. When they came to us their site was dated. We therefore created a new, modern site that gave them a much more effective online presence and personality, representing who they are and what they do, whilst also giving users a simple user experience to learn more about F1K and to use the site to book their karting experiences.
The new website was built to be responsive, meaning it would automatically respond to being viewed on any sized screen. This is crucial for modern-day websites due to smartphones and tablets becoming preferred devices for browsing the internet. It’s such an essential requirement that we only build responsive websites, believing that it’s irresponsible to do otherwise.
Using the colours we had developed during the branding process, the new build was consistent with the new, bespoke branding intended to give F1K presence and personality. Additional special features worked to differentiate F1K from other karting providers, too, such as 3D track maps with grab and move functionality, maps and galleries, information about the team and numerous karting experience packages.
Another key achievement was the streamlining of online pricing. The previous site had struggled to display the pricing of events clearly and this had to be remedied. We also made sure to highlight special offers on the website. Add to this online booking functionality and an online shop, and F1K now had a website that provided a much clearer, more intuitive user experience.
